From reservation to return, RV rentals at DUEK MOTORHOMES are simple and easy, here’s how it works:1. Pick out which RV you want to rent and make sure it is available for the dates you want to use it. Look at our RV rental calendar to check availability. Note that there is 3-day minimum.

2. Once you are ready to make a reservation, a deposit of 50% will reserve the RV in your name. This deposit is applied to your RV rental fees. The balance is due 30 days prior to the day your rental begins. Please call or email to arrange payment. We accept all major credit cards.

3. We will send you all the necessary paperwork for you to review and send back to us at your earliest convenience together with the driver’s license of the person who will be driving the RV, who should be older than 25 years of age.

4. When you arrive to pick up your RV, we will spend time with you to make sure you know all the ins and outs of the unit you are renting. We understand this may be your first time driving a motor home, and you may have questions. We will review RV setup procedures as well as the operation of all equipment on the RV. We want you to be comfortable and able to enjoy your RV rental experience!

5. RV rentals are fun for all and we strive to make sure your experience is hassle-free; however, questions can come up. If you have any questions on the road, help is only a phone call or a message away. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

6. When it is time to return your RV, simply drive to our office and we will be ready to welcome you back.

Pick-up and drop-off
Times: we are happy to offer pick-up as early as 9 am, and drop-off as late as 12pm, or even after-hours using a key-drop.

Cancellation policy
We understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to cancel your reservation. You may cancel it up to 30 days before your rental begins to get a full refund. After 30 days you’re your rental begins, the reservation deposit is non-refundable. In this case it will remain as a credit on your account that you may apply to a future rental in 90 days.

The point of an RV rental is usually to travel some distance and see new places, right? So where are you allowed to take our rental units, and where are they not allowed to go?
The answer to this is pretty simple, but has a few caveats. First, Mexico is not allowed by our insurance company. Other than that, the continental US, Canada and Alaska are all permitted, with the following requirements:
1. Due to the road conditions often encountered in Alaska and northern Canada, and the increased wear and tear that result, an additional fee of $.10 (ten cents) per mile will be assessed for all miles driven if the trip takes you to Alaska or northern Canada.
2. If you plan to travel to Alaska or northern Canada, we also require that you provide roadside assistance coverage that includes towing of the RV to the nearest repair facility in the event of breakdown or damage/collision. We have a relationship with coach-net that will meet these requirements for $12.00 per day.
Winter is a great time to rent an RV, but it does bring with it a few additional considerations. The primary concern, of course, is the cold weather and its effect on RV systems, particularly the plumbing. The simple fact is, water freezes when it gets too cold, and when it freezes in the RV plumbing, you have no flowing water at best, and at worst, potential damage to the RV plumbing system. Wind speed and direction can also be a factor in how warm the plumbing stays.
Most RVs can handle temperatures down into the 20’s if the RV itself is kept warm, but again, wind speed/direction and other factors can affect this. Running the furnace allows some heat to radiate from the heater ducting into the walls/compartments as well, helping keep the plumbing warm. Keeping the RV warm inside will not guarantee protection in all conditions, but it does go a long way toward keeping the plumbing from freezing. Note that a portable electric space heater will not have this benefit, even though it keeps the interior warm.
DUEK MOTORHOMES is happy to provide you with a quality RV to use in the winter time, even to cold destinations such as ski areas and east of the mountains. We will do our best to help you select the best RV for your trip and will advise you on best practices while camping in the cold. Unfortunately, though, we cannot predict or control precise conditions at your destination, and therefore cannot make guarantees about the performance or safety of the plumbing systems in the RV.
If you choose to rent an RV for winter use, you are accepting responsibility for the care and safety of that rental unit. It is up to you to take appropriate steps to prevent freezing of the RV systems. You’ll need to adjust expectations, and understand that if, despite your best efforts, the plumbing freezes, you will have the inconvenience of not having water flowing from the faucets. Further, you will be liable for the cost of repairs to broken plumbing or fixtures.
While there is a risk of inconvenience or worse while camping in winter conditions, many people successfully do it each year by recognizing the risk, performing appropriate research and preparing in advance. Feel free to give us a call if you would like to discuss the best ways to prepare and equip yourself for a winter RV rental.
